The Reborn Tractor featured as pride of place at this year's Balmoral Agricultural Show in Belfast.
Visitors flocked to touch and rub the body work as if the Massey Ferguson was alive.
It was fun standing silently in the crowd and listening to the 'experts'

Our first outing with the restored MF135 was on a bright Spring morning. Interest in the Reborn Tractor DVD is coming from USA, Australia, New Zealand and other far flung places.
Great to hear there are so many tractor enthusiasts all over the world.

Northern Ireland's UTV interviewed Stephen Todd the creator of Reborn Tractor for a feature on the classic tractor scene. It was apparent that the presenter Marc (A sophisticated city type) was quite taken after he had a drive on our restored MF135

During the MF135 restoration filming we picked up some really useful hints and tips from engineers. Most of these can be seen in the double DVD set but it might be of interest to potential restorers to have these written down. Anybody interested?

Feedback from people who have already bought the Reborn Tractor MF135 restoration DVD has been very positive. The programme shows the entire process from barn find, assessment, stripping, finding parts and re-building. The key idea is to give potential restorers a usuful resource which they can watch during the different stages of their own restoration.

Massey Ferguson 135 Restoration DVD is selling really well

After a few technical hiccups at launch last week (Especially with countries outside the UK) things have been tweeked. I also placed the DVD on Amazon which helped people get a copy before Christmas.

The local post office was surprised to see box after box of DVD envelopes arriving in a flurry.
Jersey, North Wales and County Kerry all seem to have a large number of avid tractor enthusiasts as the Reborn Tractor DVD went to those locations en masse.

Reborn Tractor Exports DVD to Sweden!

Amazingly I posted a copy of the Reborn Tractor DVD to Sweden today. The Internet is fantastic at bring people closer together.
The Amazon shop is bringing in loads of orders - which is good because our e-shop is still stuck in techy land as they wait for a SSL certificate.

Our Massey Ferguson 135 restoration DVD is now ready but the e-commerce site isn't. This means I have been inundated with enquiries this morning and people paying by cheque.

Red faces all round, but at least there is real interest in the programme.

Dave Jones of Herefordshire is the lucky winner of the Reborn Tractor identify the tractor competition. He correctly identified the tractor as a Massey Ferguson 135. His Prize was a Draper Expert Socket set which will come in very useful as he plans to restore a Massey Ferguson 135 with his two daughters Anna & Ellie aged 10 & 13

We decided to try out soda blasting which is less aggressive than sand blasting. It can take the paint off a soft drinks can without damaging it.

Classic tractor tyres

We struggled with the choice between traditional cross ply tyres over modern radial tyres. After discussions with our tyre sponsors Goodyear we decided to go with the traditional diamond faced Goodyear All Surface Crossply tyre 12.4x28 rear and 6.00x16 front. Goodyear also supplied us with a local tyre fitter to help in the form of Charles Hurst Tyres of Coleraine, N.Ireland.

This is a personal choice as many restorers are now fitting radials. If you are trying to keep the tractor as origional as possible then the crossply tyre is the way to go.
